HEC Forecast

HEC Forecast is a day of conferences and networking on the topic of data use in business. More than a hundred students and professionals will gather there to hear and discuss concrete achievements in data science, by local companies.

The objective of the event is to explore current achievements to better anticipate future trends, in addition to stimulating interactions between the academic community and the professional world, through panel discussions and keynote presentations.

HEC Forecast is on February 11th from 1pm tiill 9pm at Côte Ste-Catherine's building of HEC Montreal.   (https://www.hec.ca/en/campus/buildings/cote_sainte_catherine/). The panel discussions and the speechs will happen at the National Bank Amphitheater and the networking cocktail will happen at the Hydro-Quebec Atrium., both located at the garden level of the building.  (https://www.hec.ca/en/campus/buildings/cote_sainte_catherine/garden_level/plan.html).

The official schedule will be announced only a few days before the Forecast. There will be 3 panel discussions and 5 keynote speakers starting at 1pm. Then, a networking cocktail will start at 7pm. 

HEC Forecast is open to everyone! (Students, profesionnals, retirees and curious people!)

The identity of the panelists will be revealed on our official social media starting from January 15th 2020. For information,during last year edition, professionals from National Bank, Deloitte, Videns Analytics, Element AI and l’Autorité des Marchés financiers (AMF) were part of the event.

For the event, we suggest a Business Casual dress code.

Yes, the coat check will be free for every participant of the HEC Forecast.

Yes! Till 7pm, coffee and pastries will be offered. After 7pm, during the networking session, wine, beer and soft drinks will be available. Cold and hot appetizers will be offered during the cocktail. l

Some companies will indeed be looking for candidates. We encourage you to add the recruiters on LinekedIn rather than distributing your resume since they won't have any designated place to store them.
